Old charts revisited

Some of my vintage compositions and arrangements are revisited this spring by two different groups.

In April Jukka Gustavson & UMO will play the program I arranged and partly composed for organist Jukka Gustavson in 2005. The first performance was also played by UMO in their UMO Jazz House and conducted by Markku Veijonsuo. The whole program will be replayed in its entirety at Koko Jazz Club while the two following concerts will include roughly one hour of music – “the best bits”. I will be playing the guitar parts while Mikko Hassinen takes care of the conducting.

Kiduspoika Janus, a piece that I originally wrote for Gourmet in 1997 (check this YouTube link!) and later rethought for accordion and string quintet in 2002 will get two performances by Harri Kuusijärvi and Meri-Lapin jousikvartetti, along with works by Piazzolla, Glass and others:
